Looking for a unique event venue in West Yorkshire? The National Science and Media Museum is located right in the heart of Bradford, overlooking the award-winning City Park and its magnificent mirror pool.

Pictureville cinema

Pictureville Cinema is available for daytime and evening hire between 08.00 and 23.00. The plush auditorium is perfect for presentations and conferences during the day; by night, it makes a fantastic setting for award ceremonies or screenings.

Pictureville Cinema

Capacity: 300

The luxurious Pictureville Cinema is ideal for larger presentations, award ceremonies and performances​. The auditorium is equipped with a range of audiovisual equipment including the latest 4K digital projection system, a full sound system and Wi-Fi. Housed in a former theatre, the cinema also boasts a large stage area—perfect for performances and speeches. ​

Named in memory of Albert ‘Cubby’ Broccoli—​famous as the producer of many James Bond films—the Cubby Broccoli cinema is the perfect venue for meetings, film previews and launches. Its facilities include data projection, full digital sound, and the ability to project films in formats including 35mm, 16mm and video.

Evening events

When we close our doors to the public, our galleries and atrium transform into spectacular evening event locations. Dinner dances and standing receptions can commence from 18.00 and continue until midnight. Whether you’re looking for a location to host an intimate gathering, organising a large-scale corporate dinner, or planning your company’s next Christmas party, the National Science and Media Museum has a superb range of spaces available.​

Step into a world of wonder with our newest interactive gallery, and offer your guests an event experience like no other! Wonderlab comprises more than 20 mind-bending exhibits: you and your guests can hear your voice echo through a 15m-long tube, get lost in mirrors, make art using light, and travel through a laser tunnel. Available to hire in conjunction with another gallery, Wonderlab is the perfect space for your guests to explore before or during a drinks reception or at the end of a conference.

Enclosed behind a spectacular glazed façade, the Atrium is a versatile and stunning event venue located at the front of the museum. Its large open-plan space is made for prestigious dinners, drinks receptions and exhibitions. Included in hire of the Atrium is LED and gobo lighting, a projection screen with sound, and full in-house AV support.

Adjoining the Atrium is the Café, which is included in the hire of the Atrium, but can also be hired on its own for smaller parties. The Café provides a more intimate location, accommodating up to 80 people for a seated dinner.

Chronicling the history of popular photography, the Kodak Gallery offers an opulent space for an intimate dinner or a larger standing drinks reception. Your guests can experience the ambience of a bygone era as they mingle in the gallery’s elegant Victorian-style drawing room, surrounded by some of our most remarkable objects, including the world’s earliest photographic negative.​

Looking for some retro fun? In this interactive gallery, your guests can plug in to the history of videogaming as they play classic games in their original arcade or console formats​. Featuring quirky Tetris-style seating and the opportunity to play everything from Pong to Pac-Man, the Games Lounge is a great place to host a more informal standing reception.
