The Gate Handle is an item in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It is found on a boat within the Pirate's Grotto. In Chapter 5, Mario goes to the south area of Pirate's Grotto and gets cursed by a Black Chest Demon. After that, he will be able to use Boat Mode to land on that boat. Upon finding it, Mario must bring it to a closed gate inside the Pirate's Grotto. By using the Gate Handle, the gate will lift open, and Mario will be able to move on.

After Mario uses the Gate Handle to open the gate, he receives a speechless warning from Cortez: "...OoOoOoOooOooOoOoOoOoOo..."
