RaeLovesToRead I'm working my way through chronologically... I love most of them. If you were to read just one, I'd suggest The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. I'm such a huge fan of David Suchet's Poirot that I sometimes forget which ones I've read and which ones I've seen on TV 😅 3y

I recently finished The Sanatorium.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was hoping for more from this book as I love thrillers set in isolated places.
The characters were interesting and really well fleshed out, but the overall plot was a little unbelievable for me.

veritysalter I enjoyed it, a few plot holes, but good on the whole. Definite creeps, I‘m not sure I‘d like to stay in a former Sanatorium, especially with medical equipment on display! 4y

RaeLovesToRead @Dan_1988 many years ago! He is so good at twists and plots and pacing. Tell No One was one of my faves. (It's been made into a French film too, I believe). I also loved The Woods and Fade Away. 4y

Play Dead | Harlan Coben

So I‘ve decided to stop reading The girl with the dragon tattoo. I just weren‘t being pulled in to it. Plus it‘s on my kindle and I really felt like the book feel. So I‘ve started reading #HarlanCoben. #playdead.

RachelAmphlett It look me ages to get into Dragon Tattoo as well. I think something clicked when I finished book 2 in the trilogy and I flew through the third. Might be one to return to one day? 4y

Balibee146 Read it fairly recently... The baby talk, self referencing personal coded sayings etc were annoying particularly in the first third. I kept going and ultimately enjoyed it... Gets better as it goes. Not a vintage King for me, or one I'll return to frequently, but worth a read. 5y

phantomx I read Lisey's Story in high school, and it's one of the few stories I can remember vividly--somewhat like a sweet chill. It opened my eyes to understanding love and grief, dangerous obsession and salvation from past mistakes that are rooted in a family. 5y
