Liked this book better than the first, but understand why we need the character development. Things are finally coming together, and I must say i absolutely adore opie & bitzy!!

Amazing, the more I read the more I fell in love with the charachters. I now understand why yhis book is all over the place and sold out everywhere!
SO bummed I have to wait for the rest of the series!
Weird twist I did not see coming. The ending felt rushed compared to the dragging up to the climax
.. Ive read better, Ive read worse
This book/series had been on my TBR for almost a year, im sure this one was primarily for character development, but theres like 6 books in the series and IDK if im going to make it 😅
I read some not great reviews about this book and decided to give it a try anyway, and Im glad I did! Its suspenseful but out there.
Unexpectedly, I ended up enjoying this book so much more than I anticipated. I went in blind having had it pop up in my 'recommended books' and seeing it had 4.5 stars, and now I know why.
Very philosophical, makes you think about life and hopefully leaves you feeling a little better than when you started.
The plot was predictable, kind of lost me towards the end.
Very different than first book IMO. But still worth a read, twists and turns keep you hooked. I also really liked the short chapters. I'm not sure wh, but I found myselfsayingg "one more chapter" for the whole thing
Binged this bad boy in less than 24 hours. It was so great I couldn't put it down. It's said to be an addicting psychological thriller, and I'd have to agree :)
Spicy Spicy Spice!!! This book will have you all hot and bothered. WHY CHOOSE. Ughhh. I love hockey, but you dont need to know about it to appreciate this book.
There is no audiobook as of yet, but if there was oh my God-- Id need to live in a cold shower
Nicely puts all three books together, the ending we all needed.
Didn't find it earth shattering, lt dragged on a lot. There was a lot of french dialogue; the book would probably be half the length had there not been paragraphs of french only to be translated in the next paragraph.
This is the second book in the series. Things are still unknown, and like many other reviews I've seen, my emotions are all over the place but I am invested so on to the final book of this trilogy
There are so many unknowns with this first book I NEED to keep reading because I have no idea what's going on, theres so many secrets and things not being said. The float scene really did it for me. However, I feel like C is so young and high strung some of her "temper tantrums" are cringey. The chapters are short and well see where the rest of the trilogy takes us.
Decent standalone read. Finding happiness, dont need a man- vibes.
It's nothing earth-shattering but quick read based in 1700s and modern day.
This book reminds me of a Hallmark movie, it was decent barely any spice. Finished it quickly on a road trip... there is a good message about ones happiness it just took hours to get there.
If youre interested in a lovey dovey romance this is for you- not me.
Meh, Im hoping this book is character development & the rest of the series is better. I've seen a lot of reviews saying there's grooming? I disagree; Because of Callie's bargain/wish the "magic" separated them for 7 years. He waited all that time for her. I guess you could say. Being fae and not knowing how old he really is and her being 16 at first?ACOTAR had a similar age gap& we all loved that shit. THEYRE MATES WE ALL KNOW ITS COMING **eyeroll
This was my first novel by Stephen King... enjoyed the creepy characters and story; this book was definitely different than my typical spicy fantasy preference and felt it dragged at times.
So, it took 3 books to lead up to ONE chapter of "war" I get the character development and really enjoyed the previous books. This one felt drawn out and then quick climax and done... not a fan ? so many Gods, dieties, primals dudes have almost the same name... Its unnecessarily confusing. Overall, disappointed in this one
This series just keeps getting better! Just when you think you've figured it out, the plot twists. Fibding myself not wanting it to end, happy theres still 2 books left in the series.
Loving this series so far! I love poppy and casteels non-teaditional blooming relationship. I genuinely have no idea where this series is going next and I love it!
Definitely a lot of character development in this one, but by the end, I was completely invested. I've since started book 2 and cannot get enough. Yes there kind-of-spicy scenes, not the greatest, but... the story line is... **chefs kiss**
HOLY GODS!! This book has me SHOOK! This is an absolute nust! The ending will leave you speechless. Cannot recommend this series enough for those who liked ACOTR and TOG this is like a moderb day happy medium of the two
Loved this! Similar, but so different from other Sarah J Maas books, there's modern-day technology but ancient magic history. Also like other SJM books there are many characters and houses which can get a bit confusing at times. Typically, I can listen to an audiobook up to 1.8x speed. However, due to the amount of detail I kept it at a 1.3x and felt things werent dragging along.
Very excited for the rest of this series to be published.
Just do it. Read them all! Loved this trilogy tastefully spicy and romantic; unique take on angels and demon. I recommend this book will keep you on your toes!
I am really enjoying this series! Pleasantly unexpected plot twists keep me on my toes. I am so excited that there's another book in this trilogy. The audiobook does not disappoint! Highly recommend
Loved this book! It kept my attention throughout the whole book, leaving me anxious to get into the next.
I listened to the audiobook, and it was VERY well done. The sound effects heighten the overall experience and put you right in the scene.
The best book of the three, but still not all that impressed by the story. Cant win them all I suppose
It's definitely better than the first book. I still feel like the story is a bit "all over the place" I plan to finish the trilogy in hopes things make more sense
Quick easy read. I'm not sure how I feel about the plot of the story yet, but I am hoping the other 2 books of the series are more exciting. I listened to the audiobook and read some on a kindle... each had some additional creative touches I hadnt experienced before (music on the audible & adorable woodland doodles on the chapter markers in the book)
Predictable and repetitive to the other books in this series. The spice is definitely there, but the story appears rushed - Not a fan of this one
I made the mistake of starting this book one evening, and COULD NOT put it down, I NEEDED to know what happened. Some may say it's predictable but, I really liked the thrill of it having not read many books in this genre. If anything, give it a try its a quick and easy read.
Definitely not my favorite of the series, this book is quite depressing (hence sorrow and starlight). Since the series is not complete we're just left hanging after 8 books and a really great story line😕
Holy cow! This book had me laughing out loud. I have grown to love these characters, ready for book 8 of the series it better not break my heart i swear!
These poor twins, the story continues and I fall more in love with each of the characters which is insane considering how much I despised some of them from book one. Like the previous books, this one leaves you hanging and needing to know what's next I am hooked on this whole series.
Not my favorite, but it's absolutely necessary for story development. The longest book so far in the series bring in book 6!
WHAAAAAAT?! maybe my favorite most suspenseful book of the series so far. I NEED to know what happens next in this series, it has my full attention, and this is becoming an amazing series I was skeptical of at first
Couldnt put this one down i needed to know what what going to happen next finished it within a day
Fun twist on Aladdin definitely steamy, explores dom kinks and now I cant think about the original version the same way ;)
Alright, the story is definitely heating up with this one, quick and easy read like the first I prefer this one to the first book but have to know more... on to the next book of the series :)
If you can get past the excessive bullying and cruelty the main characters endure the story is decent, I felt it was a quick and easy read. I am excited to see what the next book brings and how the rest of the story unfolds.
Brings the whole series full circle. Like most of this series, there are many characters and a good amount of scebe hopping, made it confusing to listen via audiobook.I really enjoyed the ACOTAR series by Sarah J Maas, was hoping this would be similar but honestly I just wanted it to be over and felt it dragged on. This final book was 121 chapters too long.
Easy read to remind yourself "youre not alone" God has a plan; life is crazy, messy and there is beauty in it.
Its okay to feel out of control sometimes, youre not the only one... even if you are a weirdo who seems to have it all figured out you'd still learn something from this book.
This book is based on the belief in God but not shoving religion down your throat I swear.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Okay im FINALLY getting into this series.
Yeah I still get a bit lost in the character development but now that characters are coming together were coming full circle.
Excited to see where this series goes next... 2 more books!
To be honest im kind of bored with this series, it is so complex as far as characters and where they come from/their back stories. I recommend really dedicating time to this series. whereas I prefer to listen to the audiobook while doing chores but feel like ive had to replay A LOT because Im lost.
Plan to stick it out for the rest of the series
Along with my previous review on books in this series, i get a bit lost in the story because there are so many characters in different places at different times, however, the last few chapters never seem to fail to keep me toed in and needing to know more.
Its started good, but I got lost somewhere in the middle, a lot of twisting and turning, most like because I listened via audible there are a lot of characters and more are added with each book it gets a bit confusing
