On the contrary, they are significant matters that lie at the foundation of Christianity. This makes it an excellent primer for Christians interested in exploring these differences.

so-soThis book was exactly as it was described to be. The descriptions of the Eucharist were great but I felt a little underwhelmed by some of the stories and the lessons.

pickThis is certainly a much different version of events, a much different story than what was presented in Catholic school and by my devoutly Irish Catholic grandmother. Honestly, if my grandmother had actually known about some of these things, she would have explained them away or seen it as Catholic persecution. Sadly, this is how most people will take this entire book.

pickThis book‘s highest achievement is to take the reader into the mental and emotional reality of a possessed individual. The sensationalist stuff is set aside in favor of vivid, intelligent descriptions of what the five victims felt and experienced over many years as their free will was slowly and patiently subverted. It is terribly frightening but also tremendously empowering to understand the role that will and choice play in these situations.

pickPosting this one makes me a little nervous. I‘ve been questioning going back to church after leaving in college, and how I fit there. This book was really helpful and an easy read. Very frank and doesn‘t shy away from the bad parts.
