A retelling of Jane Eyre…so good! I was immediately sucked into the story and was hooked. The characters aren‘t particularly likable, but for this story, that works.

A murder takes place in Windsor Castle and Queen Elizabeth is determined to find the perpetrator with the help of her aide Rozie. This was an enjoyable cozy with a great audiobook narrator. I think I've added another series to my TBR list. #MarvellousMarch #Booked2021 #AboutARealOrFictionalRoyal @Andrew65 @Cinfhen @4thhouseontheleft @BarbaraTheBibliophage

4/22 I enjoyed this book, especially the sections that moved on from traditional cults to other aspects of life which are cultish in their language. It was interesting and I will definitely keep it in mind as I navigate my way through modern life! #booked2021 #bookaboutacult

Cinfhen Agreed, this book was fascinating 3y
alisiakae This sounds so interesting! I‘m particularly curious what they have to say about the Peloton culture, since I use my Peloton bike and the off-bike classes for all my workouts and have been an avid fan for 3 years now. 😄 3y
Magpiegem @4thhouseontheleft yes I found it fascinating! Especially the bit about how they recruit and train their staff! But don‘t worry, the conclusion is not that Peloton is an evil cult 3y

alisiakae @Magpiegem I‘ve heard they recruited in the early days by telling instructors Peloton would make them famous, right? Although that does seem to have worked for Cody 🤣 3y
Magpiegem @4thhouseontheleft yes! They actually don‘t recruit fitness instructors, they recruit actors and teach them how to be fitness instructors. So it doesn‘t matter if they have never used an exercise bike before… quite inspired really 😄 3y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I‘m definitely interested in this book. I grew up in a cultish religion and left in my 20s. 3y

AmyG By an odd stroke of luck I have the dentist on Tuesday which is the release day of To Paradise. I‘ll just stop in and get it as the book store is next door! The Seed Keeper is fabulous…as is The Magician and hour of the Witch. Great choices! (edited) 3y
ncsufoxes The Mountains Sing & The Seed Keeper were two of my favorite books last year. Such great stories 3y

2021 was my best reading year by far. I more than doubled my goal of reading 60 books and I didn't even include a few children's books or short stories in the final tally.

2021 was a rough reading year for me. Like many, I found it difficult to focus.

54 books out of my Goodreads goal of 80 - setting my goal for 80 again this year. 8/12 #Authoramonth & 16/24 #Booked2021. Doing both of these challenges in 2022 - they definitely pushed me to find new authors!

So, here's to a better 2022! 🥂

@Soubhiville @Cinfhen @4thhouseontheleft @BarbaraTheBibliophage

britt_brooke 54 is still fantastic! 3y
mom2bugnbee @britt_brooke Awww, thanks friend! It truly wasn't a good year for my focus, but I'm ready to get back to it! Already finished one on the car ride home yesterday! 😁 3y
britt_brooke @mom2bugnbee Yay!! Hope it was a good one. 3y
