Future Skills Organisation’s Post

Gone are the days of spending hours transcribing meetings and drafting minutes. ✍️ In celebration of #NationalAIMonth we’re sharing some of the ways our team uses generative AI tools. Our Director External Relations + Communications Juliet MacKenzie runs our Strategic Advisory Committee and Taskforce meetings, which bring together senior leaders from the finance, technology and business sectors for 60 to 90-minute discussions. Juliet not only saves many hours of work by using Microsoft Co-Pilot to transcribe meetings and generate minutes, but also finds this allows her to be more present during meetings. “It means that we can focus on facilitating an interesting discussion and capturing the insights and feedback via comments, chat and the use of tools like Menti or Miro,” Juliet says. If you’d like to start using an AI tool for your meetings, Juliet has some tips: “Keep the prompts simple,” she says. “For example, I’ll ask, ‘Tell me the five key insights from the meeting,’ or ‘What are the actions and next steps?’”   She also recommends checking to make sure the notes are accurate and being transparent with meeting attendees about the use of an AI tool. Brilliant Juliet MacKenzie & Future Skills Organisation! So important that you're leading by example, and sharing the learnings - eg. must check the output, but just because to tech isn't 100% accurate, the productivity boost is still super valuable!
