Alabama Action is a student-created service-learning experience for freshmen at The University of Alabama where students complete projects that focus on improving the quality of underprivileged elementary schools in the Tuscaloosa area. As a member of the team focusing on the outdoor playground area, projects completed include: minimizing soil erosion by replacing rotten railroad ties around the playground; spraying mild pesticide to minimize ant-infested regions; creating an in-ground four square court; repainting an old picnic table with vibrant colors and handprints from the students.

During the Camp 1831 Day of Service, worked on a team to repair and renovation sections of an elementary school in the Tuscaloosa area. Projects managed and completed: repainting of a cafeteria complete with cartoons and pictures, removal of overgrown bushes and tree stumps around the building façade, as well as planting of new shrubs around the building perimeter.
