So often, CSM is a focal point for reduction or elimination entirely in today's more efficiency driven environment. I am advising a sub-$100M tech firm on their channel strategy. Unclear about the direction, they hired a lone channel rep last year. They’re frustrated about not seeing any ROI on this investment. 🤔 Here’s the simple truth - ❌ Lack of commitment doesn’t work ☠️ Lack of clarity is death 👎 Decision by committee sucks 🛑 Stop doing something because everyone else is Does this mean you can’t start simple? Of course you can! But you need to define what the minimum viable setup looks like. ✨Viable✨ being the key word. A lone direction-less individual is not viable setup. Half hearted attempts are a waste of money! ✅They should’ve invested more in channels or put that money instead into digital marketing, trade shows, or BDRs instead.
