#CKAN 2.11 introduces #TableDesigner: form builder and enforced validation for your #Data. This feature streamlines how we handle evolving data requirements and maintains #DataQuality at every step. 🛠 Here’s how it helps: - Schema-first design means you define your data structure upfront, ensuring consistency as your data evolves. - Excel templates with real-time validation let you catch errors before they become a problem. - Auto-generated web forms let you add, edit, or remove data directly in CKAN - no need for extra tools. - It works with CKAN's DataStore API, meaning you can connect your data with existing workflows effortlessly. - Custom validation rules make sure your data always meets your quality standards, even as requirements change. - Change tracking keeps a history of who did what, so you can always trace data edits if needed. - An auto-generated Data Dictionary makes it easy for others to understand and work with your data. Ian Ward, the main developer behind this feature, dives deeper into how Table Designer simplifies data management in our latest blog post.
