We are thrilled to report on the incredible success of the #RideCleanMass launch event! With over 230 test-drives completed, Massachusetts’ rideshare and taxi drivers showed inspiring enthusiasm for the switch to electric vehicles. As a first-of-its-kind program led by the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC), RideCleanMass offers rebates to support these drivers in adopting EVs, reducing costs, and contributing to cleaner air across the state. Speaking at a press conference, CALSTART’s Light-Duty Vehicle Director Jason Zimbler put it succinctly: “These drivers log countless miles every day, and by helping them switch to EVs, we’re not only empowering them to save on fuel and maintenance, but also taking a giant step toward improving air quality across Massachusetts. It’s truly a win-win.” By 2025, the program aims to have up to 2,000 new EVs on the road. This initiative is about more than just financial savings; it’s about making a long-term environmental impact by reducing emissions and fostering healthy communities across Massachusetts. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible. We are excited to continue driving change in Massachusetts and beyond!
