I have really enjoyed McManus' work and writing over the years, and I look for his new work when it comes out. The Unstoppable Force, Seizing Your Divine Moment and Uprising were all books that I found exciting and and inspirational. The tidbits of stories and scriptural work such as the material around Jonathan and David brought me back to those books more than once. In Comparison, Stand Against The Wind seems empty. It's almost like a collection of inspirational greeting cards. The shifting fonts look pretty but actually prove difficult to read, and they don't really serve any purpose. I almost want the book to calm down so I can just read it . . . I picked up the book hoping for a conversation with Erwin, but instead I feel like I've been given a package or collection of cool things he's said. I miss the stories of Erwin's life and experience and hope the next book will once again offer more of those . . . ( )
