3 book

This book is based on The Magic School bus book series. When their bus breaks down, Ms. Frizzle and her class find themselves in a haunted house. Sounds emanate from various places. By using "funny-looking glasses" that allow them to see vibrations, the kids learn about sound. This TV tie-in book adaptation provides another entertaining and informative story.

In this book, Ms. Frizzle's class gets stuck in a "haunted" museum on their way to practice for a music concert. Carlos made an instrument for the concert but the sound it produces just isn't quite right. During a magical adventure in the museum, Carlos and the rest of the class learn about sound vibration and Carlos figures out how he needs to fix his instrument.

This book was fun and would be a fun read for a class. I love music and this book gave me ideas on how to incorporate music into teaching.

After reading this book the teacher could set up different items that make different noise vibrations. The students could listen to and feel the different vibrations that are made. They could also make their own instruments and put on a concert.
