I was hoping that Manapul and Buccelato (sp?) would finish strong but this feels like the weakest of the bunch. The Reverse Flash's identity/plan just seems bizarre and tangential to other stuff in the comic, and the forever Evil villain issues are pretty rough. At least Manapul's art is nice. ( )

Another great Flash book, another interesting adversary and back story. Also includes a quick one-shot set in Gotham before Barry has become the Flash. ( )

This New 52 title is fast turning into one of my favorites. Especially now that all the Gorilla stuff is done and the writers seem to be going back to the more regular sort of Flash stories.

Like, someone is stealing the speed force of those who were stuck inside the speed force with Iris West. At first since I have read quite a bit of Flash stuff before I thought I knew who the perpetrator was going to be behind the mask, but holy crap did they pull a twist on me! And a very cool twist too. (or maybe I’m just not remembering the pre-New 52 bad guy correctly).

Anyway the whole TPB was chock full of goodness. I liked the Flash/Kid Flash stuff, the uniform of the bad guy was great as well. I’m even sort of warming up to Patty too (though still a die hard Iris/Barry shipper).

Finally at the end of the TPB there was a cool Barry/Iris (with a little Harvey Bullock) in Gotham story that took place during the Batman Zero Year continuity. I liked that very much too.

I got this advanced galley through Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment. ( )
