About My Library
In the process of cataloging all the books in our house - so both mine and my husbands, although the distinction is typically lost unless we're talking Heinlein (he loves, I hate) or hard science and math books (his "light, nighttime reading").

Both of us hate the notion of ever getting rid of books, but as our house becomes over-run with them (we've fortunately just bought a bigger house :) ), we keep running out of shelf space. So, some are tagged as "storage" - ones we really should consider taking to a used book store - either because they really are quite awful(!) or perhaps they're just totally falling apart from too many readings.

I'm marking the ones I remember reading to completion as "read," but I'm just amazed at how many I remember starting on but can't recall any real details of. I think I have a bad habit of letting the stacks of books get so high on my bedside night table that I eventually have to go move them to proper shelves and in the process I wind up with a ton of books that I've only read a few chapters into (I really can't resist reading a few chapters immediately on purchasing a book, even if I'm already reading 3 others).

I'm maybe 1/4th through the house. Amazing, this is making me realize that I need to STOP BUYING MORE BOOKS until I can get through more of these. I love that my unread books are all going to be tagged now so I can use LT to find just what I'm in the mood for... and, well, maybe get a few new recommendations when I just "don't have a thing to read" ;-)
