{my thoughts} - This book is amazing. It has the kind of “Deadzone” feel to it. The only difference is that Kate can only see things of the past. I don’t know how I would respond to waking up from a coma with the ability to see things and know things of the past. Quite honestly I think it would probably scare me some. I enjoyed the book a lot and there isn’t anything I can think about that I didn’t like. This book is a wonderful read and well worth the time.

{reason for reading} - I had downloaded this book through Amazon while it was a freebie. I had approached the author about a read for review with the rest of the series and needed to read the first book in order to continue.… (more)

{my thoughts} - This book is filled with suspense. It is extremely difficult to put down and helps to better understand just who Kate is. I enjoyed learning more about Kate and Jared, but the best parts were when she was working on cases. How it would show her raw emotional and for who she really was on the inside as an individual. This book has the ability to make you laugh, cry and ask yourself - Did I just read that? It's a must read if you have read the previous books in the series. It is guaranteed that you will not find yourself disappointed in the least.

{reason for reading} - I was given a copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review.

{my thoughts} – This book centers around a college girl named Kayla and her struggle to find her true identity. When she was younger her father had passed and her mother had dealt with the grief through making Kayla and Lila her younger sister miserable. Her mother was always telling them that they were fat and useless amongst many other naturally rude things. The title of the book really gravitates towards the issues that take place within it’s pages. Kayla lets her mother get into her head and soon starts to head down the terrible path of eating disorders and other issues.

I personally struggle with eating issues on a daily basis. I know what it is like to not feel wanted or good enough. I have never taken it to the extent of what is written in this book, but I do regular skip meals and on some occasion not eat anything for a day. I tell myself it’s because I am to busy or that I’m not really hungry. I know that isn’t the truth, but it seems to be the way that I have lived for so long that I don’t know how to live any differently. I have never made myself throw up though the thought seriously grosses me out. Reading this book made me think of myself in some ways, people always seem to notice how thin I am but they don’t understand the struggle to stay this way. Most of my family is heavyset and it would be my biggest nightmare if I ended up like them.

I do think that this is an excellent book for those with eating disorders to read because it really hits home. It’s well written and covers a topic that is usually ignored in the book world. I will also admit that I cried a lot while reading it. It would be a good idea to have a box of kleenex handy.

{reason for reading} – I was given a copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review.

{my thoughts} - Kate Edwards and detective Jared Corbett return in the second installment of the Second Sight series. This book covers a lot of ground in a very fast paced engaging manner. Kate and Jared are dating and Kate is still using visions to help find missing persons. She calls in anonymous tips to the police departments that are handling the missing persons case. Throughout this book she helps with two cases involving the abduction of a child and an adult woman. She also meets a new guy named Declan Brayden. You will have to read the book if you’d like to know what happens in both missing persons cases and if you’d like to know who Declan.

{reason for reading} - I was given a copy of this book by the author in return for an honest review.
