"Intermittent fasting isn’t like a magic pill that will miraculously vaporize your unwanted pounds during your fasting hours and also counteract the calories you consume when you do eat. Intermittent fasting is only as good as what you eat when you’re not fasting. That includes both your calorie intake and your nutrition."
I heard about intermittent fasting from my daughter and son-in-law and saw the results in their lives. At the beginning of the year, I downloaded an app that had the same facility in where it helps you to set up a regular schedule of intermittent fasting and I followed the prompts with great ease.
Then, when roaming the Amazon shelf of recommendations, I found this book, and it was free.
I really wanted to learn more about this lifestyle and enjoyed this ongoing-study-and-living book to gain the best weight solution for my body.
As an author, I sit for long stretches of time where it is easy to fall into bad habits, but since I began with intermittent fasting, it has not only helped me to curb the bad habits but get some good habits. Habits that's beneficial to my lifestyle.
This is a quick read which goes into the entire concept in great depth. From the benefits, the don'ts, lifestyle, the different types, mindset, tips and tricks, it really helps you to understand all you need to know about this.
I like the fact that it's not a diet per se, but a lifestyle that I can follow with ease. At 57, I really feel good and follow the 16:8 fasting plan for two months now. It was easy to adapt and because money must be turned and stretched, I can still follow my normal eating plan while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
I drink at least 3 litres of water. In the beginning, I struggled with this, but as time went on, it became easier and I eat enough in the 8-hour window that keeps me fueled for the 16-hour stretch. I have more energy and feel good and though you lose weight slowly, I can already feel that my clothes are not as tight as it was before.
Thanks for the freebie and the knowledge you shared. It is insightful and easy to understand.… (more)
