This book is a beautiful exploration of its title. It’s about the phenomenology of time after loss, something we’re all dealing with now that we grieve the loss of our once-predicted future. It’s sad, but in a good, reflective, and insightful way. It helps to give names to these little-explored areas of experience so when we find ourselves in them, or in their echoes and rhymes, we can hold on.

Focused in on language play and nature imagery, as well as use of color and the body, this language poetry is interesting and graceful, full of twists and word-play. It's not for everyone, but there are some poems here which might make the journey worthwhile for any poetry reader. The collection itself is eclectic enough that most readers will likely find something here of note, though at the same time the collection as a whole comes across as somewhat unformed and wandering as a result.
