This book was adorable. This book is about a little girl, Misty, who is looking for her stuffed chimpy. She cannot go to bed without it, so she has to retrace her steps to find him. She ends up finding Chimpy in the bathroom. Misty has down syndrome, but it is not said in the book. Readers only know about her disability because of the photographs used. The author portrays Misty as an ordinary child, who lost their toy. Misty's disability does not make her who she is because, in fact, it is not even mentioned throughout the entire book. If the author was to leave out the photographs, readers would not know about her disability.… (more)
