Lyra Parish

This small town billionaire romantic comedy had everything that I love about @lyraparish writing but it also is my first Spooky Season Read and I really delighted in the crisp smell of leaves, the warmth of a fireplace, and the colorful splashes of fall color from pumpkins waiting to picked and leaves fluttering down from trees. Okay, I know it sounds like just came back from an Autumn vacation in Colorado.. but to be honest, I feel like I did. This story has it all, there are some moments that are so emotional you will give a little sniffle, others that will leave you laughing out loud, and others having you cheer on the action; but, I guarantee that Queen of Swoon will have you fanning yourself while rethinking what goes on in the Supply Rooms during a Wedding Receptions and pausing with a smile from the moans & screams from a "Haunted House".

This story had just that right blend of what you expect from a Spooky Season read and a great romcom. There is a haunted house, a man and woman facing down their ghosts of relationships past, and a wonderful community celebrating one of the best seasons there are in their own small town way. Zane has come to Cozy Creek to escape the latest tabloid reveal from his ex and wants just to get away from it all, but fate and a love spell have other plans and he stops at the first coffee shop he sees. Autumn herself is off has sworn off relationships after discovering the man who should have been her Prince Charming was really Prince Hans. But with time, family, friends, and an uncanny resemblance to her own Mr. Dreamy, Zane makes the cut she wonders if she can play the part of Cinderella.

I know I'll be reading the other books in the Cozy Creek multi-author series because I want to stay there a lot longer and I can't wait to see how Nick and Julie's story goes in the Hookup Situation... plus I know that Zane and Autumn will have a cameo there as well so I can check back in with them.… (more)

This is a fun, cozy fall romance read. It makes me actually look forward to fall.

Autumn and Zane started out as a bit of enemies but then turned into lovers. The chemistry between them was undeniable. It was not too long after they started spending a lot of time in each other's presence that the attraction grew, and things heated up.

I had an instant connection to Autumn, but Zane I had to warm up to. Yet, the more I got to know him the better I did like him. One aspect that really helped me was him finding his late mom's letters to him. Those letters are pure gold.… (more)

I love this newest addition to this series. As soon as I started reading, I was hooked. I read this book so fast. Cash and Remi gave me...heat, laughs, angst, and love!

The sneaking around that Cash and Remi did was funny. It made it even funnier for the fact that they truly were not fooling anyone. Well, except maybe Remi's older brother, Beckett (or not). Yet, the way that he was looking out for Remi to make sure her heart did not get broken again is very sweet.

One of my favorite parts of this book where the letters that Remi and Cash wrote each other back when they were dating. Even then you could feel the strong feelings they had/have for each other. Cash and Remi are each other's perfect Valentine!… (more)

Sometimes when you read a well plotted, well paced, well written book filled with just the right amount of tension, steam, and emotion the only thing you can to the author is Thank You. This is one of those books. Parish always draws me into her stories with the perfect balance of heart & soul and body & brain. I know that my sound funny but hear me out. Some romance Are so focused on the Instalove between the characters that the relationship aspect suffers, others either rush to the steam or stay so focused on kissing only that the tension between the characters is not ramped up enough for me. But with book, the author's style hit that perfect balance that left me grumbling at the book in frustration sometimes but always reveling the journey that Easton and Lexi took towards each other.
