The mysterious “Smithee” has done well here, adding quite a lot of background detail about a number of the human characters and how their lives were affected by the Dalek invasion – something that I now realise is missing from the Dicks novelisation (unlike his books with more contemporary settings).… (more)

The 5th Doctor and Peri arrive in ancient Egypt just in time to stop the assassination of Erimem, the next Pharaoh. They save her life and outwit the alien entity which is causing havoc. (I'm not too clear am I?) Anyway, I like this story, it's reasonably fast paced, both Peri and the Doctor get enough to do, though for some reason, Peri is an easy target for possession. Erimem is interesting here, and it's her debut to the audio series, though I haven't heard any others in which she appears.

I definitely like this story much better than Loup-Garou(sp?), which features 5 and Turlough.… (more)
