This book covers the history of astronomy from about 1800 BC to the present. The author describes the personalities of the astronomers and their advances in understanding of our universe. It is interesting to hear about how many incorrect theories persisted due to bias and a lack of scientific information. The author demonstrates a deep understanding of astrophysics and is able to write in a manner that is clear and interesting.
Pros
-Gives an understandable, detailed explanation of quantum physics.
-Pays the necessary attention to the backgrounds of the theory.
-Avoids unnecessary jargon.
Cons
- Neglects the mathematics of the theory
-Presumes some prior knowledge of Thermodynamics

The book makes for a nice reading at leisure. It suites complete beginers to physics or people with no science background as they get to follow the creation of a genius in view of the theories he proposes. Following the line of theories that make our present understanding of the cosmos today is a great journey put into the book with astonishing clarity and ease.
Even people with a physics background will find the development of the story interesting and the graphics just makes it better.
