This book was okay. Three friends living in the suburbs of DC deal with different challenges in their lives. I found the book to be a bit repetitive as the women had to decide what to do in their relationships. The story was a bit stale and I'm really unsure why I finished it other than I wanted to see if the characters grew up at all. Not a Stacie recommended book.

It was the perfect read after finishing a horror book, but I am not sure I'd read it again. The characters were not as developed as I would have liked, and I was surprised when the book ended because it seemed to have ended at the climax.

I expected this book to be mildly entertaining and I was happily surprised when I found it very addicting. It grabs your attention and pulls you in before you know it and you find you’re invested in what happens to each character and why. There were a few storylines I wish would’ve been tied up better. Overall a good 3.5 stars, rounded up.

This was a good book that kept me reading instead of doing the dishes! There are many different issues touched on - spousal abuse, infidelity, and dishonesty. Ultimately, though, this is a book that will be quite forgettable. Yes, I was invested in the characters, but they never seemed to do anything too surprising, and the end was tied up in a neat little bow. It made me think about abuse, but not much more than I normally do. Infidelity sucks. I knew that, too. Dishonesty is bad for a relationship. Again, something I already knew. So while the story was a fun read, it did not actually enrich my life or make me think about anything in a way that was different.

* I received this book for free from Goodreads First Reads.
