You have to like this book because it is a good uplifting story, but I always think about who is going to read it. To me, this is a great book for a teacher book club, or for the English department to assign for all faculty to read. Eddie Corazon has a lot to say to the adults in his world and to the teachers who are so dedicated to "helping" him get his life in order, but I am not sure that students would respond to the characters.
