Richard Hatch (1) (1945–2017)

Richard Hatch and Christopher Golden’s Battlestar Galactica: Warhawk picks up after the events of the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica television series with Apollo, Athena, and Starbuck looking for the legendary planet Earth along with the remnants of the Twelve Colonies. The book will primarily appeal to fans of the original series, which had an extensive shorthand in addition to the standard science-fiction elements found in the 2004 television series. The fact that the book ends with a five-page glossary shows how overburdened the original show was with unnecessary linguistic creations. The book will likely appeal to fans of that original series, particularly as it was co-written by one of the stars of the show (Hatch portrayed Apollo and later appeared in the reimagined series), but even tie-in media veteran Christopher Golden cannot save an unnecessarily complicated work.… (more)
