This book is good for 2nd-5th. This book is about a girl who just moved to the United States and she is embarrassed of her name. Her classmates then provided many different examples of names she could use. She puts them all in the jar and at the end of the book she decides to stick with her birth name and not be ashamed of who she is. You could use this in a classroom to show all students that they should not be ashamed of where they came from.

This book would be great for any elementary age. This book is about a girl who moves from Korea and the kids in her class have a hard time saying her name. She eventually learns to love her name. This book would be a great idea when getting new students or just as a general read aloud book.

I would read this to older kids probably around 5th grade because there is a lot of larger words. It is about a little girl who has a unique culturally specific name and is uncomfortable with how the other kids treat her about it so she tries to change her name. I would use this book to teach kids about the impact of their words and how we should treat everyone with kindness.
