The book form of one one the the classic Who era’s best adventure is equally great. We have more detailed background of the relationship of the camp commander and the scientist and of the priest who is much younger than in the tv version. Such a shame that the Cartmel Masterplan about the origin of the Doctor remained only a plan....

The Curse of Fenric is my favorite 7th doctor adventure, the book added to my enjoyment of the story by filling in holes in the plot of the TV version.

How the Eighth Doctor meets Ace! I love her so, so much--and so will you, once you read this thrilling adventure!

An ice planet/grocery store has an evil mastermind and maybe a dragon.

Horrible, horrible writing. Despite a simple plot, nothing about it makes any sense. There are some attempts at humor, but they're pretty bad and I wasn't always sure if something was meant to be funny or not. McCoy is always clowning regardless of the intended tone of a scene, which makes it feel like he's just not taking the role seriously, rather than that the character is silly. Not that you can really blame him considering the scripts they were giving him.
