{My thoughts} – BabyLit has found a new way to introduce babies and toddlers to the classics. I have been wanting to get these books for my girls for quite some time. I decided to finally buy some and see what I thought. I picked my favorite classical stories and ordered them on thriftbooks.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is a wonderful introduction to the classic Wizard of Oz story. This particular book is to help introduce your child to the characters of The Wizard of Oz and help to teach them some colors.

The cover is Bright Yellow and blue and holds true to what you’d think of when thinking of The Wizard of Oz. It also has the main characters the Scarcrow, the Tinman, the Lian, Totto and of course Dorothy.

When you open up the book you see the name of a color and then things that correspond with that color on the next to pages. The colors are nice and easy to distinguish between other colors within the book. The illustrations are incredibly well done. They go hand and hand with what you’d expect to see within a book about The Wizard of Oz.

When I’d read this book with my daughter we started by pointing out the Title, the characters on the cover and then the first color in the book. I’d then point to each of the objects on the pages and tell her what they were. She listened as well as you’d expect for a one year-old. I think this is a wonderful way for a child to learn word and object association.

This is a wonderful book and I am confident that any parent will fall in love with it as much as I have.

{My thoughts} – Alice in Wonderland by Jennifer Adams is the second book in this series that my girls and I have read together.

The cover of the book is eye catching and appealing. It has a big illustration of the Cheshire Cat on the cover. The colors are bright but easy on the eyes.

This book is made in a much more simpler way when it comes to helping to teach colors. When you open the book the page on the left is patterned and has the color and word that relates to the subject matter on the right page. The page on the right also only has one object/character and then is on a plain colored background.

I really enjoyed reading through this book with my one year-old. She was interested in mostly turning the pages. She also listened when I was pointing to the objects and telling her what they were in relation to the colors being shown.

The illustrations are really nice and simple. They help to show your child colors and relation to objects. I think it was illustrated nicely in relation to the Alice in Wonderland theme. I also found it to be a nice introduction for babies and toddlers into the Alice and Wonderland world.

I Think this book will make a wonderful addition to any young child’s library.

{My thoughts} – I have always been a huge fan of the Romeo & Juliet story. When I saw this book I just kind of had to have it type thing and add it to the collection we have growing for the babies.

The cover of this book is simple and on par with the Romeo & Juliet theme. It has an image of Romeo & Juliet holding hands but separated by a rose. The illustrations and the colors are wonderfully done.

This particular book is based on the Romeo & Juliet story. It is also a book that helps to introduce numbers 1-10 to babies and toddlers.

When you first open the book the page in the right has a number. Under the number is a word. And then on the left page is a simple illustration that helps explain the number and the word. This goes forth through the rest of the book.

I really enjoyed reading through this book with my daughter. She enjoyed it as well. She was interested in hearing about the book and seeing what I had to say about the images and words. However, she was more interested in turning the pages. She is just at that age I think and it makes reading with her so much fun.

I think that this book will make a great addition to any child’s library. I think that they can benefit greatly by being introduced to the classic books that many had grown up with. This is definitely a wonderful book and worth the purchase!
