this is probably highly inaccurate, since i know nothing about the panel system, but i felt that it need an article. Please add more info!

Thanx to whoever added this info, it is good but we still need more.

Link Zones?[edit]

is there any point in specifying the different sizes and configuration of panel link zones (e.g. "LV Doubler ⑤, LV Doubler ⑥ (four configurations)", "Phantom Gear ④, Phantom Gear+ ④, Phantom Gear++ ⑤")? they should all be listed, if at all, on the individual pages (LV Doubler, Phantom Gear, etc.) and not here, where it's just confusing (same goes for the Gear page). (there also shouldn't be links to pages for each version of a panel) --Neumannz 18:58, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

  1. Any official term that appears in the games should be searchable here. There is no guarantee that every reader of this wiki is a KH expert (in fact, it's very unlikely).
  2. Those two articles are not summaries, they are lists. Of every gear. For example, what if someone for some reason wants to know how many different types of panels there are? (Maybe they are trying to see if they have the same count in their game) Truncating the list because of similar entries would screw them up, and it's a less elegant solution to say "Just go to every page linked here and see if there are multiple versions listed".
  3. Finally, this list especially should use the actual names, not the general names. The specific articles collect information on multiple, related objects with similar names, which is why they don't need the (3) or + in the title - however, this is a list of the actual objects themselves, not a list of related articles.Glorious CHAOS! 22:28, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

alright, i can accept that. aside from that, relying on the redirections is unnecessary (and why are you going out of your way?) when there aren't individual articles. why have a link Aeroga when Aeroga is more correct? etc. having redirection is good and we should have those, but i don't understand deliberately putting them in the article. (sorry if i'm sounding rude here) --Neumannz 22:40, October 14, 2009 (UTC)

Well, it makes for cleaner code, and in general, editors shouldn't have to remember what page information is filed under unless they are using an unofficial descriptor for it (for example, linking to Marluxia with "the pink-haired one"). It just makes it easier and cleaner in general.Glorious CHAOS! 00:12, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

well, i guess i can't complain about it now that i'm doing that for the "recipe" panels... --Neumannz 00:17, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

Grouping?[edit]

Should we group all of the material panels into one page instead of all these seperate ones?

Most of the material types are legacies of synthesis items from previous games, and since a lot of info can be done for each material type, it would probably be best to continue in the manner we've been doing.Glorious CHAOS! 00:13, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

I meant with materials like iron and moonstone. Serendipitous

I get what you mean, but since 50% of the material types in Days trace back to things from earlier games, and those already have separate articles (Mithril, Orichalcum, etc.), it will be easier to just have separate articles for each.Glorious CHAOS! 01:53, October 15, 2009 (UTC)

Panel setup[edit]

I have the maximum level (Roxas, abilities, equipment) panel setup on my game, but I don't have a way of getting screenshots. I think that such an image would actually be what we should use as a main image (as it would be helpful both tip-wise and as an illustration of the scope of the system). If I take a picture of such on a cellphone, could someone with the emulator or some other screen-taking method assemble the image?Glorious CHAOS! 17:58, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

I didn't know excatly how you wanted the panel setup image, but with those two, you can customize it as you wish.--ShardofTruth 21:13, May 4, 2010 (UTC)

Categorize Articles[edit]

Vsymbol.png You know, looking at all of these Panel Stub articles, why not just have all of the information on separate panels on one article? Like, all of the Guard panels could be on the guard page. That way, we have less stubs and less articles to make. I'm going to go through with this if I don't get a response.

All link panels should operate like that, yeah. All the info for Round Block, for instance, should be at "Guard". Rings have their own pages, gears have their own pages, items have their own pages, magics have their own pages. The Level up panels should be covered at Level or something, the Magic boosting panels should be covered at Magic, I think, and the Backpack panels should be covered at "Pack Extender".

The three Scan-types should be covered at Scan (since they all modify it), and the Limit ability panels should probably be covered at Limit Break, since they rely on it, and can't support unique articles, I think.

Point of order: Backpack can be used as a single panel, as opposed to only as a linked panel. While I agree that they should share an article with Pack Extender, I think the "Backpack" should be the main article.

I guess that makes sense.

Tables[edit]

Are tables with individual stats needed? Or leave it the same? yAgIogp.pngANX219 02:20, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

For example? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 02:31, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
I'm guessing you mean tables to list all the panels with descriptions, locations etc. I think the article is fine as it is for now, but we could experiment using the tables to see if it works better. TheFifteenthMember 02:36, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
Thing is, most/if not all the panels in the system already link to another page or have their own article. Wouldn't having the tables with the same information over here be redundant? Xion4ever 23:31, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
Yeah..I guess you're right. yAgIogp.pngANX219 23:54, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

The same question can be asked for ability and deck command list pages. However, the table adds more aesthetic appeal overall and its information can be used for quick reference so it has some worth. TheFifteenthMember 09:31, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

If you feel strongly about it, give us a mockup to look at, but keep in mind that there are already some pages with tables for these, like abilities (KHD), magic panels, etc. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 14:24, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

Support panels[edit]

How do we know that The King’s Return, Sora’s Awakening and Limit Pass (not listed on this page for some reason) are classed as support panels? TheFifteenthMember 12:18, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
