Defense Boost (ability)

Defense Boost (ガードアップ, Gādo Appu^?, lit. "Guard Up"), also called DEF Boost, is an ability introduced in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. It increases the user's defense.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts Re:coded, Defense Boost is an accessory ability that increases the user's Defense when their HP is reduced to 25%.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Defense Boost is a stats ability that can be equipped up to three times. It raises the user's defense by 1 for each Defense Boost equipped.

Kingdom Hearts Union χ[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts Union χ, Defense Boost I (ガードアップＳ, Gādo Appu S^?, lit. "Guard Up S") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 1/2. It can activate when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 10, and a maximum trigger rate of 34%.

Defense Boost II (ガードアップＭ, Gādo Appu M^?, lit. "Guard Up M") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 2/3. It can activate when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 15, and a maximum trigger rate of 37%.

Defense Boost III (ガードアップＬ, Gādo Appu L^?, lit. "Guard Up L") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 4/5. It can activate when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 20, and a maximum trigger rate of 39%.

Defense Boost IV (ガードアップＸＬ, Gādo Appu XL^?, lit. "Guard Up XL") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 7/8. It can activate when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 20, and a maximum trigger rate of 39%.

Defense Boost V (ガードアップＸＬⅡ, Gādo Appu XL II^?, lit. "Guard Up XL II") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 9/10. It can activate when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 20, and a maximum trigger rate of 39%.

Defense Boost I Max (ガードアップＳ１００％, Gādo Appu S 100%^?, lit. "Guard Up S 100%") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 1/2. It activates when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 15, and a maximum trigger rate of 100%.

Defense Boost II Max (ガードアップＭ１００％, Gādo Appu M 100%^?, lit. "Guard Up M 100%") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 2/3. It activates when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 20, and a maximum trigger rate of 100%.

Defense Boost III Max (ガードアップＬ１００％, Gādo Appu L 100%^?, lit. "Guard Up L 100%") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 4/5. It activates when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 20, and a maximum trigger rate of 100%.

Defense Boost VI Max (ガードアップＸＬⅢ１００％, Gādo Appu XL III 100%^?, lit. "Guard Up XL III 100%") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 11/12. It activates when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 20, and a maximum trigger rate of 100%.

Defense Boost VII Max (ガードアップＸＬⅣ１００％, Gādo Appu XL IV 100%^?, lit. "Guard Up XL IV 100%") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 13/14. It activates when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 20, and a maximum trigger rate of 100%.

DEF Boost VIII Max (ガードアップＸＬⅤ１００％, Gādo Appu XL V 100%^?, lit. "Guard Up XL V 100%") is a Skill that reduces damage received by 16/17. It activates when attacked. It has a maximum LV of 20, and a maximum trigger rate of 100%.
