Soirapt
From Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Soirapt,[1] along with Warial and Teash, was one of the three natural satellites orbiting Doisac, the Jiralhanae homeworld and the third planet in the Oth Sonin system.[2] In early Jiralhanae history, their loosely held religion was based on the lunar cycles of Soirapt and the other two moons, as they perpetually haunted Doisac's skyline.[3]
Unlike Warial and Teash, which host Jiralhanae colonies, the moon of Soirapt has always been lifeless and lacked any form of useful resources or strategic significance - even known to the Jiralhanae as the "corpse-moon". The eponymously-named Legion of the Corpse-Moon were the only group of significance to inhabit the moon, having built a large hidden bastion in the moon's vast canyons to house a small but growing fleet. The base was annihilated in 2559, during the genocide of Doisac by Cortana. During the cataclysm, planetary debris from Doisac's destruction impacted Soirapt with force, obliterating the moon and the Legion's primary outpost.[4]
The Scale of Soirapt, a variant of the Kewu R'shi'k-pattern plasma rifle, is built in the image of this moon with secrets that only the most cunning Jiralhanae can unlock.[5]
