This is a true story of Michael, as told by his carer and how he worked through a great loss in his life. It was with the help of others and the love, care and training he received from his father, plus his courage and faith that he was able to bear the experience as well as he did.
His carer was Cathy Glass, the author, and she gave a good and loving narration of the few months she spent with the Michael and his father. It was written in first person almost read like a diary, with abundant details of daily activity wrapped around Michael's story.
“I pondered the day away at the changing shapes of passing clouds, lazing in the shade of palm trees.”
