Thank you much. I may give that a try if it happens to more of them. This one, I think I'll get it spiral bound. Have a great day, and I hope you had a beautiful 4th of July.
Janice wrote: "I still remember the olde SASE. Thank you much, I'll check it out. Have a great day." And remember you can join Facebook via any computer that has a browser, and Facebook is rigged to be usable from public computers or on public wi-fi. 2/3 of everyone online is on Facebook.

Amazon owns the print-on-demand company, so complain to them (they might replace the book) or just note the flimsy spine in your review and use the word Amazon and the word Create Space (that is the printer Amazon bought to do Print On Demand). The output quality control can be uneven. Note, Amazon also has a deal where if you buy the print, you get the ebook for a token payment, so you can shelve the paper and read the ebook, which is more durable. That is why people are gradually trending toward e-books -- they last. And you can get the Kindle reader on any computer that has a browser (phones included). Amazon also owns Audible.com - the audiobook publisher, and you can get a similar two-for-one deal with that combination. Amazing new world. BTW I put pictures of Westercon70, and the Star Trek 50th anniversary CAKE on the SimeGen Group on Facebook.
Fear and Courage fell apart the 1st five minutes I was looking at it..bad glue job. I just hope that doesn't happen to the other 13 titles in the wonderful Sime/Gen series I've tried to replace. At least I have a few old used paperbacks, I've located in used bookstores.
Found several of the old Sime/Gen paperbacks in some used bookstores. Have a great Independence Day, tomorrow.
You can find all the Welcommittee functions fully and instantly available on Facebook -- nobody uses snailmail anymore. Just join some Facebook Groups.
You don't need a credit card to shop online as most places take PayPal where you can park some spending cash, and be sure "they" can't steal your identity. Others have other alternatives. A simple debit card with a tiny limit should serve well to protect you.

I well remember the old Star Trek Welcommittee back in the 80s, but sadly I lost track of it around 1985, when I first started visiting Canada (until 2000). I was sorry to find out that SFW is no more, as I had wondered about it over the years.
Thank you much. I may try that once I get a credit card. Somehow, I'd never really wanted to shop on-line. I'd much rather find the stuff in a store, as ...the hunt's....more fun for me. I should have....never....let those 1st editions go... Have a great day.
You can save a lot of money shopping online but do it do it from a library computer-- a smartphone does it.
Janice.
I think you now have them all. Story untold is bound with Recognisance and the unity trilogy is the first 3 novels reprinted.

I was able to special order all of the other Sime/Gen novels-- except for Stories Untold-- thru Barnes & Noble. I'll try Sime- Gen: The Unity Trilogy, next. Later, I'll try Abe books and Amazon, though I've never shopped on-line before. Have a great day, and thank you. I should have never let the other books go...
Glad you like the new books. More coming-- and if you want old paper, Abe books is cheaper. For new paper editions, Amazon with prime is probably cheapest.
I bought The Farris Channel, and Change of Tactics, thru Barnes & Noble -- special ordered, pre-paid-- and they were mailed to my home. Been skimming them, and love them....now I must find the others. My favorite was Mahogany Trinerose, though found it sad. I loved brave Ercy, and her gentle Uncle Sels...I really felt sorry for him.
Thank you very much, I was unsure how that phone call "worked". I'll give Amazon a try, as soon as I can. Have a great day.
Janice
Oh, I meant I answered on Goodreads using my smartphone which has a Goodreads app and a web browser. It is an iPhone, and does everything.
OK, if you are only using a public computer, yes, you have to change passwords a lot and take care to close everything before leaving your seat.
You can find all my books at abe.com (used bookstore) in paper, and find the whole list on amazon.com by searching Jacqueline Lichtenberg. It's handy even if you don't buy from Amazon as you can print out (my library allows printouts) the list, then hunt.
You will not find our books in chain bookstores or supermarkets, but only online. The safest way to buy things online from a public computer is PayPal.com -- rather than entering your debit card info on various websites. Some of those on the Facebook SimeGen Group have physical copies of the novels for sale (cheap).
Abe.com does not take PayPal, but individual vendors on there (it is a big flea market like Amazon) do take PayPal.

Thank you much for trying to call me, and I'm sorry I didn't know. I only use a computer at the library. Also, I use Facebook so seldom, I need to re- do my password. I'll be sure to check your websites, though. Have a great day.

I tried to answer this from my phone, but apparently it didn't post. There are now 14 volumes of Sime~Gen in new paper, ebook, and audiobook editions, with more coming soon. For updates join the SimeGen Group on Facebook and send me a friend request. I also have a "page" but seldom post there.

Thank you for friending me. I read the first 8 titles of your Sime/Gen series, so many times, I worn them out. Many times, I wished I could have been able to replace them, but I'm still looking. Also, I've been a fan of Star Trek, since I was a kid back in the 60s. Have a great day.

Yeah, this is the sweet-spot time of year in the desert!
Zetta -- I've seen that name elsewhere. Tell me about yourself?
John, of course I know Orson! Brilliant guy! Awesome books, with deep characterization.
And yes, folks, I need to spend more time on goodreads. This is a fabulous place!
