Really it is quite nice to hear in this direct way other readers' responses to books I like. In the case of this book I was responding to the sadness of aging and marginalization, but then there's all that Go technical stuff and it may be thought kind of slow. Good to hear from you.

Thought I'd give you a heads up - some time ago you recommended 'The Master of Go' to me, and you rated it 5 stars. Well. Thank you for bringing it to my attention and I'm glad to have read it. However, I did not enjoy it. But I didn't want you to feel it was 'about you.' Please do not hesitate to recommend other books to me. : )
