I’ve got a thing for love stories and superheroes. I’m working on something I call the Talent Chronicles. This series began with my desire for more superheroes! More romance! More Superhero!Romance.

Talents are people born with supernatural abilities, trying to find their way in a world that fears and wants to control them. I like to explore how the things that make us different from each other sometimes make life difficult, and sometimes are the making of us. These stories are for people who love Buffy, wanted more romance in Heroes, and thought Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor should have worked things out.

Of course you can change a man

I am, for good or ill, often ridiculously literal. And this tendency makes me kind of irritated by expressions that get thrown around a lot. Sometimes I have to sit and pick at them like burrs until they stop bothering me.

There seems to be a lot of debate about change in the world of cliche. “People change,” but “you can’t change a man,” but “everything changes,” but “people don’t really change wh

“You realize, of course, that you are a complete idiot.
Well, conscience, I'd say that much is obvious.”
Susan Bischoff, Hush Money

“How could I explain why I'd acted that way? How could I explain how scary it was, to find out that I needed her so much? Was I supposed to tell her how she'd changed everything? Like how U hadn't even realized how bad I felt until she'd made it better, just by looking at me. Like how I thought she was awesome, bad-ass ninja, and what I hated was the fact that I knew I couldn't protect her, when that's all I wanted to do. How could I explain, without sounding like a complete asshole, that I was so afraid of losing her I pushed her away?

I couldn't.”
Susan Bischoff, Heroes 'Til Curfew

“Marco, honey, I'm gonna have to wreck your fantasy and tell that not only are Joss and I not involved with each other, and not only are we both straight-which you'd think any straight guy would realize-but I would do her and half the guys at this table before I would even let you watch me change my shoes"
Eric opened his mouth to say something but Kat immediately cut him off "No, Eric. You're in the other half”

Stephanie I LOVE the Talent Chronicles series! Is there any update on when Heroes Under Siege will be released? I'm one of those nerds who keeps a spreadsheet of what to read, what's coming out, etc & it makes me sad to see "TBA" on my sheet every time I look for the book. :)
Thanks!!

Susan Bischoff Thanks, Linda! I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed it. Thanks again for your review. And it's nice to have company in the whole dreaming of Joss and Dylan thing. Maybe we can find some similarly afflicted folk and form a support group.
