New book and New series in the New Year

getbook.at/NoQuickFix I haven't blogged in a billion years, or that's what it feels like, but there's news I want to share.

I have a book coming out on March 19th on Amazon, and it's the start of a new series about fixers. But these guys aren't just bodyguards and they're definitely not "fixers" in the traditional sense. They "intercede" on your behalf, hence the part of intercession in the series name. So while in Read more of this blog post »

“I want you back here now. I want you next to me now. I cannot believe that my family, your brother, all our friends, and an entire police force can't keep tabs on one twenty-six year old graphic designer who thinks he's fuckin' Batman.
--Detective Sam Kage in A Matter Of Time (vol 2 or part 4)”
Mary Calmes

“I love you" I sighed, unable to keep the smile from my face, leaning back and looking at him through heavy-lidded eyes. "I really do".
"I know", he grunted, very pleased with himself. “You can’t live without me. I’m like cheese.”
Mary Calmes, Change of Heart

“I don’t need a happily ever after, J, I just need the ever after part. The adjective can be whatever. Up and down ever after, sometimes rocky ever after, crazy ever after—I don’t give a shit. As long as you stick around, we’ll just do the best we can, day after day.”

Vanna (on-hiatus) Thanks for accepting my friend request Mary. I am a huge fan of yours and love your older books; but the Marshall series.. OMG.. I'm absolutely in LOVE with the Ian and Miro.. Just finished reading "Twisted and Tied" and laughed and cried.. went through a whole gamut of emotions. I know this was the last one, but I am looking forward to more stories from that ensemble. :-)

Jory and Stef are both blond, yes, but that's where their physical similarities digress, Jory is short will Stef is tall, Stef is a fighter, Jory more a lover, Stef is a meticulous businessman, Jory is more artistic and scattered. In After the Sunset, you see another side of Stef and in Jory's other books, he changes as well. I think the main differences are seen if you tried to pair Stef and Sam. Sam is far too possessive for Stef who likes his freedom. Jory likes to be smothered in that demonstrative way Sam has that would drive Stef bonkers and that Rand, with a billion things to do in a day, doesn't have time for. I think the biggest difference though is that Stef can be plain mean at times and can come off a bit cold while the same could never be said of Jory. There are many crossovers in my books and a few in other authors work. It's always fun to do that.

Lindy I've noticed some similarities between the character of Stefan Joss from Timing and Jory Keyes from A Matter of Time Book I (some personality traits, as well as many physical traits - I think the only big difference is the colour of their eyes). Just wondering if this is a coincidence - or perhaps there may be something more to it?? Would LOVE to see a crossover with all characters from both these series.

Ayesh First of all, congrats for the 3rd book of Marshals. Loved it. My question is, will there be more books to this series or 3rd one is the last?

Trio I just finished Fit to be Tied and I absolutely loved it! Miro is amazing. I listened to the audio version and Tristan James was just perfect. Please tell me there is a third book in the series coming soon?

message 57: by Keri

Keri Oh Mary, I'm not sure about redeeming Koren. He and Russ don't deserve a happy ending in my opinion. Now expanding on the future alpha and Crane's kids would be great!

No, no more stories in the Change of Heart universe in the foreseeable future. I've stopped saying never, but at the moment I can't imagine it. I like leaving everyone in a good, solid place. The only character that still sort of interests me is Koren. I'd love to redeem him. Someday. :)

message 55: by Tricia

Tricia Atanacio I don't know what's so addicting to your works but I soooooooooooooooo love them! can I ask you if yuri and domin will have their offspring? (wishing to have a glimpse with logan and jin even if it's in domin's perspective) thanks!

Isabella Oh Mary another Sam and Jory book! I think heaven looks like this!
Thank you!!!

message 53: by Keri

Keri Thank you for accepting my Friend request. I've been enjoying your books for a few years now and I love re-reading them, as the characters never get old. Loved getting a new Jin and Logan read. Is there any possibility of getting a new Rand and Stef book? Thanks again.

LOL. None of the narrators say it right. It's actually Cal-May. And thank you for asking. :)

message 51: by BWT

BWT Mary, not to be a dunce...but many of us have been wondering how to properly pronounce your last name. I have almost every book of yours on audio and none of the narrators pronounce it the same! Sometimes it's pronounced like "calm", or "calms" or "calm-ay". So which is right? Or are none of those right?

Wyckedone Hallo there!

I'm in the middle of All Kinds of Tied Down and I am absolutely loving it!!!

I am a huge Sam & Jory fan but, Ian & Miro? Wow! They just work on a whole 'nother level, sister!
IMHO, as popular as the MoT Series is, I seriously think a series with these two guys would be just as popular (if not more so!).
I'm only 1/3 the way through but I can already see SO many possibilities for a series with these guys. Any plans to make it into one?

Happy writing to you,
Wycked

Jessie Potts :-( I don't know if I'm completely happy that Domin gets his own or saddened that I won't see Jin and Logan even more!

:-D awesome book! I have adored everything you've written!

message 25: by Lovely

Lovely Domin, yes!

I love all the characters in the series. But I've loved Jin the most ever since the first book. However, after reading the third book, I've fallen in love with Domin. (I still love you the most Jin but I am in love with Domin. XD)

Jin thought "Logan looked like a king" while Domin "looked dangerous, like some sort of pirate king", and I romantically love dangerous-looking men. XD

Domin is many things including wicked and playful. His POV, I'm sure, will be very interesting.

Thank you for creating and writing the Change of Heart series. I'm looking forward to reading the next book. :)

message 24: by Mary

Mary Marie~
Thank you for your wonderful comments and I started it, have to finish and submit and hope that my publisher likes it. I do intend to answer lots of questions and create new ones. Domin is a different character then Jin so his POV should be interesting. :)

message 23: by Lovely

Lovely After reading Honored Vow, I knew there's going to be a fourth book! Woop! Woop! XD

I guessed that 'coz there were some loose ends left out of the third book.

Like (1) the tribe of Mafdet's new life without Domin, Yuri, Mikhail, Crane, and Taj; (2) Jin and Delphine having the baby; (3) New life (in Sobek) of Domin as the new semel-aten, of Yuri as the mate of the semel-aten, of Mikhail as sylvan of the new semel-aten, of Crane as the maahes of the new semel-aten while still being the beset of the reah of the tribe of Mafdet, and of Taj as sheseru of the new semel-aten; (4) Koren's unstable feelings for Domin, Mikhail's possible feelings for Danny, and Crane's and Yusuke's feelings for each other; (5) Koren's standing as Logan's heir, Danny's role as the new sylvan of the tribe of Mafdet, Yusuke's role as the new maahes of the tribe of Mafdet, the acquiring of Avery as the new sheseru of the tribe of Mafdet, and Markel's and Ivan's role as the akers of the tribe of Mafdet; (6) the tribe of Mafdet's regard for the duat Russ and his life with Samantha; (7) the punishing of Archer Pike, and his sheseru and his sylvan; and (8) Ayumi's and Kei's possible understanding or continued lack thereof of Jin being a reah and a nekhene.

Some of these will be dealt with in the fourth book, right? Can't wait! When will it be released?

Love the whole series! XD
