After another speaker's presentation, a man in the audience asked how anyone can expect people to learn or care about Romani history, because Roma have won no wars and had no heroes. Since Roma have fought and been decorated in so many wars (and since violence on a battlefield is not the only kind of heroism), this got me thinking. Johann Trollmann and Romani Resistance to the Nazis is my answer. (less)
