While our book "What's Behind Your Belly Button?" is not about lucid dreaming nor astral travel, I can say that it is my opinion that developing your intuitive intelligence through gut feeling awareness would be a big step toward those experiences happening for you. We do talk in our book about increasing intuitive intelligence through gut feeling awareness. In order to go out of body, which is fundamental to astral travel as I understand it, I think it is very important to lighten one's consciousness with shedding our past baggage we carry, our emotional fears and guilts and angers. Becoming more aware of one's gut feelings is a key to doing just that and I do think it is a step in the right direction for both dreaming lucidly and astral travel. I read once that someone asked Buddha what he got out of meditation and he said "nothing" and he went further to say that something like "but what I lost was anger, frustration and fear." (less)

My colleague Robert Sterling and I are presently in the process of exploring the affects of gut feeling awareness on the process of developing intuition, aging and wellness, longevity and learning. We are writing a second book called Increasing Intuitional Intelligence and it is written as a companion to our book published in 2011, What’s Behind Your Belly Button? A Psychological Perspective of the Intelligence of Human Nature and Gut Instinct. It is a response to the readers who have asked us to share more on how our knowledge of Human multiple brains, including gut intelligence and Intuitional Intelligence, affects current theory and practice about the aging process and longevity; learning, education, childhood development and parenting; wellness and medicine; psychological theory in memory, emotions, and emotional intelligence;; sociability needs and social trends; religion and history; and even modern technology and communications.

I am also working on a home-made dog treat book called "Maggie's Kitchen Tails" with two Goodreads authors, Mamie and Doug Adkins. It is dedicated to helping rescued dogs and shelters throughout America. That publication date is October 31, 2015.(less)

The Elephant Memory! Increasing Your Own Memory Through Gut Feeling Awareness!

Science has shown that elephants do have excellent memories that decode and identify survival skills and imprint important data to be used later when needed. And for the elephant, this memory seems to increase with age and experience, leaving the younger of the herd at risk if the elders are captured or killed by poachers. Let's talk now about how we humans can improve our memory retrieval s Read more of this blog post »

“If your eyes can not cry, then your gut will."
The head and heart may be in denial of your human needs, but the gut will always carry the wisdom of your needs met and unmet, and thusly respond.”
Martha Char Love, What's Behind Your Belly Button? A Psychological Perspective of the Intelligence of Human Nature and Gut Instinct

“The presence of the inner feeling of emptiness directs our attention to a past experience of guilt and to our inner feeling awareness of the cause in the past. We must be sensitive to that feeling and accept it in order to chase down the cause, ferret it out, reassess the value of the experience to us in order not to further project the blame in anger outward to an external cause.”
Martha Char Love, What's Behind Your Belly Button? A Psychological Perspective of the Intelligence of Human Nature and Gut Instinct

“But we live on the cusp of a Renaissance in consciousness of who we truly are and, thus, we can now begin to thrive in this exciting age of our humanity’s journey toward a greater life and a more fundamentally intelligent evolution of our species.”

“Just like it is so important to understand the difference in thinking and feeling to increase our Emotional Intelligence, it is important to take the time to understand the difference in emotional feelings and gut feelings to further increase our intelligence and facility of intuition that we call Intuitional Intelligence.”

“Our Human thinking brain operates by way of prediction, comparing new experiences to and constructing its perception from what is already believed to be true due to past experience. Without a mature intuition – thinking and feeling balanced and united—even groups trying to work together will only be capable of experiencing what has been going on in this sensory brain since about the 8th Century to the present.”

Hello, Michael! Oranit sounds like a book that a number of my friends would like and I will make some recommendations to these potential readers of your book. I am not much of a fiction reader myself and presently have a task of reading and editing 35 books by one non fiction author, so I am not adding many to-reads on my shelves right now. I am happy to be connected to you, however, and love that you are writing with a non-conventional, perhaps even futuristic, point of view of Psychiatry in your novel.
Best of luck,
Martha

Michael Benjamin Oranit: Crossed Lines
One of the protagonists is an anti-Psychiatry Psychiatrist. As I get further and further from the beaten path stumbling upon you was surprising.
I am getting into the 'Wisdom Of The Body', Chinese medicine, Yoga and even the importance of gut flora.
My new book, with the same protagonists and another murder, is quite non-conventional if not critical of modern Psychiatry.
I see you are a reviewer - is it bon-ton to as for a review?
I am new here and haven't a clue. If it is a howler then accept my apologies.
As far as I can make out - you are not into KINDLE. Am I correct?
Keep well.
Michael
