5+++++SIREN STARS
I’ve had a Top 5 Book Boyfriend list forever and while I’ve certainly admired and loved kickass heroines before, I’ve never felt the need (or want) for a Book Girlfriend list until Nora Sutherlin . I now have a BGF list and the Mistress resides in the top spot! And true be told, she may likely be the only one to ever reside there.
To say I LOVE Nora is not nearly enough. She is truly a fantastic character and I imagine that this book has barely scratched the surface of her.
I have seen the 5 star ratings for this series and have deliberately stayed away from the reviews. I wanted to go in blind and I’m so glad I did. This was a spellbinding masterpiece that blew me away. Not at all what I expected…it was SO MUCH MORE. I feel like I’ve been consumed by the ocean with my turbulent emotions all over the place.
In addition to my utter infatuation with Nora, Ms. Reisz’s character development is fantastic because ALL of her characters - main, supporting and in the shadows - were intriguing. I want to know more about all of them!
Of course, there was one character that dominated (deliberately chosen word) the pages, although we didn't actually get a lot of him, is Søren. For a good third of the book, I was on the edge of my seat - scared and also thoroughly excited to meet him…and he did not disappoint.
I’ve not read anything like this before. A mind-blowing experience! A thoroughly original story of love, innocence, erotica, heartache, second chances, fear, and mistakes. The writing is amazing, Ms. Reisz, like Nora Sutherlin, has a way with words that makes my heart soar…I am ready to soar with The Angel ;)

Suzanne...doing cartwheels over here because you loved this book! LOL! Seriously! Best. Series. Ever. End of. In terms of originality, nothing even comes close to this, IMO. Great review and fantastic collages! Nora occupied the #1 spot on my BGF list for a loooong time too ... :)
