What the hell is this book? I can't finish it.
The hero's thoughts: Was she trying to kill him? No, she was too gauche. Or ... sneakily clever. She's wearing the wrong bra size. She must be trying to kill him! He will seduce/rape her to discover the truth ... Oh, shit, she's an innocent. But why was she wearing the wrong bra size?!?!?!?
The heroine's thoughts: La dee da! Oh, he's sexy. Must not show attraction. Must translate. Who are these weird ass grocers? Oh, well. Hmm, turns out I like being raped by hot men. Who knew?
The other characters: We're illegal arms dealers/giddy adolescents. All we can talk about is sex!!!! Who gives a crap about these illegal weapons? Sex!!! Weird sex games! I like to watch!!!! Ha ha ha, we're so bad. Hey, where's this guy we're expecting? Who's going to be our new leader? Hey, wait, let's talk some sex some more and pretend we're jaded. Oh, and let's kill the translator. Bastien, you do it.
Ugh. No. This is just too awful.

I finished my reread! The book did not hold up to my memories. :( I don't know why, but the rape and torture really made me a lot more uncomfortable this time around. And Bastien was such a sexist jerk!

I just realized this review might be confusing for people who haven't read the book, lol. The bad guys were posing as grocers for some reason.
That doesn't seem like a good choice of cover -- wouldn't people try coming in to buy groceries?I started a book in this series and dropped it so fast.
Oranges were code for hand grenades. And there were these larger weapons, called "Legolas", which sheep were code for. >_>
