Yes, a big puddle of goo at the end of this one...and loved every minute of it. 4.5 stars from me. It may have been a little predictable at times, but that didn't put me off at all.

This is a story which reminded me...as if I needed reminding.....that although guys like Jake Bass, Tommy Defendi and Max Ryder (and no, I have no idea how I know those names, hehe) 'work' for Cockyboys, are hugely popular and hide behind their porn star personas, they are REAL people with emotions, wants and needs. Yes, they are revered by millions for their bodies and their actions, they are just acting out male fantasies for the most part, but it is not who they are although unfortunately it does define them whether they like it or not. REAL LIFE is nothing like the la-la Fantasy Land 'bubble' that porn stars inhabit, and this story shows that not everyone is happy with their lot in front of the camera.

I want to say at the outset that I first heard about this story last March when I read Mandy's review, it sounded like the sort of story that I would be interested in, but I forgot about it until Marc recommended it to me a few days ago and I then remembered Mandy's original review, so I have 2 people to thank for this enjoyable read.

We'll start with one of the main characters Brandon or to use his porn 'stage' name Noah. Noah is 28, has been in the porn industry for 10 years, and has no other life experience whatsoever. He's lonely, tired of it all, he wants to meet his special someone and ride off into the sunset but he's the star performer at Sonic Street studios...a blond haired, blue eyed all-American guy who lives the ultimate gay male fantasy of f*****g other guys all day with no ties and being well paid for it thanks very much. Noah however is getting used to being behind the camera and now prefers it.

Into a casting audition one day walks Evan, and I'll continue to call him Evan instead of 'Jackson' because to me he doesn't stop being Evan. He's a virgin at 18, never even been kissed and had the usual nightmare childhood..no father, drunken mother who's now dead leaving him with a step-father who can't wait to throw him out of the house when he graduates with honours in a few days time. Evan has channelled all of his considerable intellect, energy and talent into being the best he can be as far as his education is concerned, and will be leaving small town back of beyond USA for the University of Oregon to do his degree. He needs money and spots an advert for adult modelling, and being the complete innocent he is, assumes it actually is modelling. Once he goes to talk to Les Murray (owner) and Noah however, he understands what the real deal is, and goes back to the grotty little motel he's been staying in to think about things. He does a little research into Sonic Street and Noah's beautiful face appears on screen, together with other guys kissing and performing. ..Evan is spellbound!! After a little impromptu make-out session with Noah at their next meeting where there's a instant connection, Evan is sure of 3 things a) he's definitely into guys b) he loves being kissed and fondled by Noah and c) he's not sure how he'll react if the person he has to perform with is not Noah, so it's agreed that Noah will be the one to 'pop' Evan's cherry at the house they've hired by the beach to do some shooting with the other guys they've employed, including a young guy from Texas named Colt who seems to understand how weird Evan feels about all of this.

Noah understands that there was a connection with Evan but refuses to do anything about it...Evan has hopes, plans and dreams, and Noah doesn't want to deprive him of those, as well as his innocence. Noah has no plans, doesn't know what to do with his future OR what he can do if anything with no educational qualifications. I've waffled on for long enough now, so I'll leave this one here. Let me just say that the (view spoiler)[ love making scenes between Noah and Evan were very tender, so it was obvious that something wonderful was happening between them (hide spoiler)] and the end of the story was perfect, BUT I would love to know what happened to Colt??
