Good read! 4.25 stars
So.. wanted to love this one and had been counting down until the release ‘cause Knox was such an interesting character! Plus, Knox and June’s little blip in Quentin’s story had me intrigued. I wasn’t disappointed per se; it’s just, I wasn’t expecting the awkwardness of the storyline and that’s why I gave it 4.25 stars.
Knox gave us everything we looked for in his character. Everything! I loved how the author allowed us to better understand why he was the way he was while also walking us through the character development Knox had. It was pure awesomeness! June was a spitfire with just the right amount of softness and tender hearted nature to capture our attention and have us rooting for them. So here’s where the pause comes…it was a struggle for me to embrace June’s proclivities simply because it seemed forced. Knox was natural and it should’ve been for June, too, but alas it wasn’t (not for me as a reader). This is my only critique and it unfortunately interrupted what should have been an automatic hit! 4.25 stars is my final rating.
OAN I spent a portion of this book thinking about Ryot and lo and behold WE’VE GOT ACTION!!
