Oh my god, this was so good! I liked the first two books a lot, but this was truly a million times better!
We’ve left the silly romance plot behind entirely, and instead, this book only focused on giving us an intricate, well thought-out, and intriguing murder mystery that gets solved in the most tension-filled way!
I love that each little piece gets revealed slowly and surprisingly, but that every single reveal still made so much sense afterwards. I was shocked by a lot of them, but nothing felt random or forced; there were always clues that could be pointed at, even if you didn’t see them at first!
P.S. When it comes to Sloane, I feel like a mother hen protecting her chick. I want to wrap her up in a warm blanket, tell her everything will be okay, and snarl at anyone who dares to come too close.
'The Naturals' series:
1. The Naturals - 3.0 stars
2. Killer Instinct - 3.5 stars
3. All In - 4.5 stars
4. Bad Blood - 4.5 stars

love it when a series gets better as it progresses 🤭 ive been wanting to read this so im glad you enjoyed!! 💛
ooh so glad you enjoyed it love! i've been wanting to read this series but i never actually do idk why lol maybe it's time for me to pick it up 👀 can't wait to see what you'll think of the next book—hopefully you'll love it! 💓
Am so conflicted about reading this series as I hated the author's latest series. But you make this one sound so good 😩😩
I wanted to check out this series after I finished the final gambit by her, how are you liking the series so far??
ahh you read this! THIS BOOK. I was so invested with this one since it had me so on edge with all the twists and reveals that I was going back and forth with. I'm right there with you protecting sloane. I swear she had me rooting for her and wanting the best 🥹 so glad to see you enjoyed this one the most as I did 🩵
@Heather — You definitely should! The first two books are really fun too, even though they do have a ridiculous love triangle, but this book was the best😄
@Krystal — Yea, I agree! There’s nothing worse than a series that goes downhill, and my favourite thing is when it gets better with each book, like what happened here😉🫶🏻
@jasmine — it’s honestly the best when that happens!😊 there’s nothing more fun than a series that continues to go uphill <3
@bruna — I promise, you should totally pick this up!! I’m 99% sure you’ll have the best time with this series🩵🩵
@SK — I haven’t read any of her other books so unfortunately I can’t tell you whether they’re similar at all…🥲 All I can say is that the first two books do have a really dumb love triangle, so you do have to push through that, but the murder mystery is always really good!!🩷
@Sabrina — right!!? all the twists and turns were genuinely SO GOOD! I did not expect this series to give me such an amazing murder mystery plot, but here we are anyway!😌 I’m really looking forward to seeing how it all ends im the final book! I hope Sloane gets a good ending🥹 And I’m so curious to see what happens with the mystery plot… I still have so many questions!!!
Your enthusiasm is palpable! It's great to hear that this book really delivered on the mystery front. I love when a story manages to surprise you while still making sense in hindsight. Great review, Imme!
@Mai — I’ve actually had quite a few really good reads in a row, but I’m always happy with a five star one😊
@Ri — I hope you’ll love it! The third book was definitely better than the first two though, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t instantly adore it!😅
@aleksandra — be prepared that you’ll have to fight through some silly, YA love-triangle in the first two books, but at least it’s over here😉
I need to finish this one. I love Sloane so much. I’m happy you enjoyed this more than the other ones.
