After loosing her brother and her memories of that night, Izzy has spent seven years away from her hometown. Tired of living her life with a gaping hole in her memory and her need for closure to leave the past behind her, she's determined to find out what really happened that night.

Except being back home and stirring up secrets puts her in danger, least of all, being back on Andrei Petrov's radar. He was her brother's best friend and the reason why her mother packed them up and moved them far away.

Izzy and Andrei have a little enemies to lovers vibe going for them. They clash over Izzy's determination to stay and uncover the truth behind her brother's death and Andrei's need to keep his promise to protect her at all costs. When an enemy comes out of the shadows for Izzy, they'll set aside their difference and learn they're better together than apart.

This has some spice and some suspense but lacked in the fluff/romance department. I liked it but the tension between Marlena and Viktor stole the show towards the end.
