Ok first there is no world building. Having some would have helped in understanding what was going on. Second there is a lot of repletion that isn't needed. The book could have used a really good editor. If there had been a bit more world building alone I would have bumped this up at least a star. Having said that it is cute. I liked the basic plot. The two MCs had a rough go in life and they still managed to gleam a bit of hope out there to go on. Lovely underlying ideas.
