The opening scene definitely did not hook me. I seriously considered putting this down and never picking it back up. Maybe I should have . . .
This was an odd story that didn't quite work for me. I mean, I followed along wondering what this guy's problem was. What in the world could possibly be his motive here. But the answers here, the story's ending was weak, and ironically, spoiled. And Rosemary--dear god. The woman is as dumb as a starving cow in winter and vapid and shallow as and empty well. I despised her character because it was laughably pathetic the way she was written.
