Alix St. Pierre was part of the OSS during WWII working under Allen Dulles in Switzerland taking charge of a group of partisans in Italy.

Two years have passed, the war is over, and Alix is now working for Dior in Paris as he is about to launch his first show.

Alix is riddled with guild because she believes she was the cause of nine partisans she was supposed to be looking out for lost their lives.

She discovers a traitor who escaped punishment at Nuremberg living in Paris under an assumed name and she makes it her mission to locate him and make him pay for his sins.

Alix’s story is told by her in three parts – before the war, during the war and after the war – most of which was interesting and some a bit over-done.

In the middle of all this enters a love interest which takes up a good part of the story in Paris. The love story was too much.

Annette Great review Morgan. It's always interesting to learn about partisan groups, the amazing work they had done. And Dior sounds interesting too. The romance would probably spoil the story for me too :)

Joe Krakovsky I like the review as well as Timi's comment, because I was thinking the love interest was filler material.

Thanks Joe, you're right about the 'filler material'.
