it was amazing
bookshelves: more-story-than-sex, non-mm, would-read-again

Having enjoyed the The Beaufort Scales Cozy Mysteries (with Dragons) Collection: Books 1 - 4 I was curious about more from this author so I took the opportunity to recieve a free advanced copy of A Worry of Weres for an honest review.

I must say I very much enjoy this authors stories. They are both fun and mysterious. Plenty of twists and turns plus magic and Folk of different species.

This story was interesting and while I jumped into book 5 I don't think I missed anything plot wise. Although I will be going back and starting from book 1.

I liked the slightly different approach to the wolf weres, especially the changing, although icky. I love Gobs and his thought process and dialogue. I really liked Callum and look forward to reading more about him.

Having heard of the Watch in the Beaufort books I was surprised to find they are even more mysterious and possibly darker than I first thought. Really looking forward to finding out just what is going on there.

My only real niggle is this is clearly not over story wise. Normally I hate to be kept waiting, but hopefully by the time I finish catching up on previous books the next book will be ready.
