Glass Sword (Red Queen, #2)

I really, really wanted to like this book. I didn't want to listen to everyone who said that this book suffered from middle book syndrome. But unfortunately, I just really disliked Glass Sword. I liked Red Queen, like most readers, and was captivated by the world Victoria Aveyard introduced to us, but this book was such a disappointment. I felt like I could have skipped half of the book and still understood what was happening—there were just so many chapters where literally nothing happened. There were so many characters that were being introduced at one time and it was difficult to keep track of them. Reading this book felt like a chore. I was determined to like this book, especially since I liked the first one so much, but it was just not good. For now, I will be DNF-ing the series, but I might come back to it one day.

The same thing happened to me :( The first book was really good but the series just went downhill from there. DNF-ing it is a good decision, I didn't enjoy it at all.

Glad to know that DNF-ing the series is a good idea! I was hesitant to, especially since it's such a popular YA series, but I have so many other books that I'd rather to get to!

The exact same thing happened to me!! I finished red queen in one sitting but couldn’t stand reading glass sword. Like I was sooo bored. Hopefully I’ll pick it back up someday!!
