This book was so adorable! It was exactly the swoon-worthy and feel good romance I've been needing lately.
✅ I REALLY LOVED ALL OF THE CHARACTERS in this story! Hadley, Elijah, Lucy... they were all so well written - each had their strengths and weaknesses and together they were such an amazing family
✅ THE EMOTIONAL STRUGGLE Hadley had to go through was so believable! Having to trust someone again after being cheated on would always be difficult, but to add in a baby and a toddler would make it so much harder because it's not just you that could end up with your heart broken anymore
✅ WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT a 30 year old man being bossed around by a sassy 4 year old 😂 Lucy and Elijah's dynamic was seriously adorable
✅ THE COMMUNICATION IN THIS BOOK was unreal and great to read. Elijah was so honest and straightforward that it basically made miscommunications and misunderstandings impossible. It was nice reading about two adults actually talking through their feelings and issues
✅ I LOVED BOTH SETS OF GRANDPARENTS! Both families were so supportive and it made my heart feel full to see them all happy together
Even though I don't think I would consider this a new favorite book, I can't think of a reason not to give it five stars. The romance had perfect pacing and gave me butterflies, it was steamy, the characters were unique and interesting... it might have lacked a little oomphh, but overall, I 100% recommend this to anyone wanting an uplifting and swoon-worthy romance.

this book was so cute!! 😭 i love how you mentioned elijah being bossed around by lucy and it reminding me how he got closer to her and hadley by buying her more candy/chips even if hadley didn’t allow it 🥺 this is definitely one i would re-read if i’m in a reading slump. amazing review, paige! 💗💗

This book was fabulous!! I'm so glad you ended up loving it!! And, honestly, what's not to like about a 30 year fighting with a 4 year old over a bag of Funyuns. I'm just gonna say it… best romance book moment of 2021.
